One of the most fulfilling parts of running an agency is getting to the point where you can say no to certain projects and only take on the work you are excited about. In the same vein, that also means getting to say yes to projects that you otherwise would have had to turn down due to lack of budget. For me, it was important to establish a framework and culture of giving back to our community by using our capabilities to do pro bono work for nonprofits who otherwise would not be able to afford the resources they needed to be most effective. One of our first partnerships was with Smile Network, an organization dedicated to providing cleft palate surgeries across the world.
Since 2003, Smile Network has performed thousands of surgeries in 13 countries on five continents.
The staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters of Smile Network are passionate about giving their time, talent, and resources to help improve the lives of others across the globe.
Like many nonprofits, the vast majority of Smile Network’s resources go to their mission which means there’s not much left for the brand itself. As Smile Network’s creative partner, our goal from day one was to help expand the organization’s cause even further, allowing it to help more children across the globe. We began by revamping their logo, creating new marketing collateral, and redesigning the organization’s website to better tell the story of their work and increase the opportunity for donations.
